One of the key technologies gaining attention across the industry is Internal Diameter High Velocity Oxy Fuel (ID HVOF) coating as a replacement for conventional hard chrome plating. Traditional chrome plating processes are increasingly facing environmental restrictions and performance limitations in demanding operating environments. ASCO’s advanced ID HVOF capability provides a superior alternative by offering dense, wear-resistant coatings with improved corrosion resistance, reduced porosity, and excellent bond strength.
 
Using advanced HaloJet ID HVOF systems, ASCO is capable of coating internal diameters from as small as 2.5”, supporting applications such as hydraulic cylinders, valve bodies, bores, sleeves, shafts, and critical rotating equipment components. The technology is particularly suitable for high-wear and corrosive environments where extended service life and dimensional restoration are required. In addition to improved performance, the process supports sustainability initiatives by reducing dependency on hexavalent chrome processes.
